There is no set time for potty training your child. It varies for every child. Many parents find that the best plan is to wait until their child shows signs of readiness, rather than bowing to pressure from friends or family to jump-start the process too early, or to have their child potty trained by a certain age or deadline.

The key to potty training success is patience and an awareness that all children reach this ever important milestone at their own pace. Once you observe some of the following potty training readiness, know it's time to start.

🌸 When the child is hiding to wee or poo.

🌸When they recognise when they have a wet or dirty nappy and may pull at it, take it off or ask you to change it.

🌸When they understand when they are having a wee and may tell you they’re doing one.

🌸When they are having a dry diaper for a longer-than-usual time.

🌸When they p**p on a predictable schedule.

Note: Starting potty training before your child is ready can lead to frustration to both parent and child.
