“BE INTENTIONAL”

Ladies, when it comes to choosing a life partner, be intentional.
Know what you want. Know the kind of man you want. But most importantly, know what marriage is really about.
As a single girl, I made a list of all the qualities I wanted in a man. I had my “dream man” on paper. I had suitors – serious and unserious – and by physical appearance alone, I could have made the wrong choice.
But thank God for the Holy Spirit. He led me into 40 nights of prayer and teaching on “whom to marry.” That season changed my taste. God showed me the kind of man He wanted for me, not just the kind I wanted.
So please, pray. Pray before marriage. Don’t rush. Don’t be desperate. Desperation leads to “had I known.” But prayer leads to peace.
Marriage is a covenant, not a contract. So take your time, seek God, and let Him direct your steps.
