Why Russia ?
Well, here's what some people don't know:
๐ Burkina Faso has been at war with France-created terr0rist groups since 10 years. Since 8 years before Traore came to power.
๐ Traore came to power in a bl00dless coup in which NOBODY got k!lled. An uncommon occurrence in the regionโs history of political transitions.
๐ He shutdown the French military bases in Burkina and expelled all the so-called Frโฌnch military advisors who were working in Burkina Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Security after finding out that Fr@nce is the one financing, arming and training the terr0rist groups. Something that is still going on actually, through the Benin Republic and Cรดte d'Ivoire.
๐ Fr@nce got angry and decided to step-up its operations against Traore to take him down by all means. This includes directly
elim!nating him using local traitors like they did with Sankara or by intensifying the terr0rist att@cks to have the Burkina population revolt against him and remove him.
๐ ECOWAS, which is supposed to help Burkina, Mali and Niger defend themselves against Fr@nce, aligned with Fr@nce to help take down Traorรฉ.
๐ The African Union kept watching since 10 years Fr@nce trying to collapse the Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.
๐ Burkina Faso ordered arms to boost the capacity of its army in fighting the terr0rist groups. The arms delivery got blocked even though Burkina had paid everything. At the UN General Assembly in 2023, Capt Traorรฉ - during his speech that was delivered by Bassolam Bazie, one of his Ministers - raised this issue of blocking the arms by the Westen powers. Saying that it was not faire to block arms sells to us while we're trying to defend ourselves against terr0rist groups that the whole world is fighting.
๐ A few weeks after the firey speech at the UN, some, arms orders, just some, precisley those from Brazil and Czcehc Republic were unblocked and reached Burkina.
๐ But Fr@nce, again, stepped-up its operations to k!ll Traorรฉ. Many coup attempts against him were foiled. ECOWAS and the African Union continued watching.
๐ Mali ๐ฒ๐ฑ requested (multiple times) a special session of the UN Security Counsil in order to present tangible evidence that Fr@nce is funding, arming and training the terr0rist groups in Sahel. All the requests were denied. And the session never took place till today.
๐ In short, since 2015, ECOWAS, the AU and the UN kept watching Fr@nce working on collapsing Burkina Faso (also Mali and Niger) and trying to k!ll Traorรฉ without them doing anything to help. Most of all, the West blocked arms sells to Burkina!
๐ So after nearly 10 years of waiting for ECOWAS, the AU and the UN to provide help, to help save Burkina Faso (also Mali and Niger) from Fr@nce, Capt Traore decided to head to Russia. The country that's a 1000 times stronger than Fr@nce. He headed to Russia to get arms of all types, training for Burkina army, nuclear technology, knowledge transfer, scholarships for Burkina students especially in the field of nuclear science. In addition to Russia helping protect him from Fr@nce's attempts to physically elim!nate him. Russia welcomed Traorรฉ with open arms as Putin and him have a common ennemi, which is Fr@nce.
Now, will we expect Russia to do everything for FREE for Burkina? Only f00ls will. It's strictly business. You give me what I need, I pay for it. It's a mutual benefit thing. But how, in which way Burkina will be able to pay? Well, Burkina got natural ressources that were being looted by Western companies since then 60s while Burkina remained poor. Capt Traore restructured the entire mining sector. Revoked licenses from Westen mining companies and nationalized two big gold mines. New legislations were introduced to fully regulate the sector that gave Burkina total control over its natural ressources. A mining license was given to a Russian private company UNDER the new mining legislations. In other words, the license is a win-win business very far from what was being done before the new legislations.
The entire population of Burkina Faso, with few exceptions of course, is very happy with Capt Traore and his smart move to turn to Russia in this existential times that Burkina Faso is going through.
When you have an ennemi who is stronger than you, and the people who are supposed to help you (ECOWAS & AU) are not helping you, and some of them actually aligned themselves with this ennemi, you have no choice but to go look for an ally who is much more stronger than your ennemi and those aligned with him combined. That's what Traore has done. Anybody whon is against this move, can keep barking. The train carrying Burkina Faso and conducted by Capt Traore will keep moving. And for the info, the train has on its board, millions of TRAOREs.

Burkina Faso Government Orders Canal+ to Keep Local TV Channels Accessible Without Active Subscription
In a move that has been met with widespread public approval, the government of Burkina Faso has directed French broadcaster Canal+ to continue airing national television channels for all viewers โ regardless of whether their subscription is active.
Canal+, a major satellite TV provider popular across Francophone Africa (similar in reach to DStv in Anglophone countries), usually restricts access to all content, including local channels, once a user's subscription expired.
The new mandate ensures that Burkinabรจ citizens will retain uninterrupted access to state and local broadcasts, a decision that has sparked celebration across the country. Social media and local communities have been abuzz with praise for the measure, which many see as a boost for public information especially in this current context of revolution and insecurity in some parts of the country.

Burkina ๐ง๐ซ : The latest project
In Burkina Faso, President Captain Ibrahim Traorรฉ has issued new directives under the presidential program "Faso Mobo" โ an ambitious national initiative aimed at revitalizing urban infrastructure. The latest phase focuses on rehabilitating city sidewalks by paving them with stones, a move intended to address long-standing complaints about urban dust and degraded street aesthetics.
Since the countryโs independence, over 3,000 kilometers of roads have been constructed, but much of the work โ particularly in urban areas โ has been criticized for poor ex*****on. While main roads were often paved with asphalt, adjacent sidewalks were left unfinished, accumulating dust that not only mars the cityscape but also negatively impacts local businesses along the streets. You find that many shops are full of dust inside.
This new project, which began two weeks ago, seeks to rectify these issues by installing paving stones on both sides of major roads. The first phase is already nearing completion on Burkina Faso Avenue, the prominent boulevard that hosts the Thomas Sankara Memorial.
In a symbolic show of support, Prime Minister and several government ministers were seen participating directly in the stone-laying process (the first four pictures below). The government has also called on the public to contribute โ either by volunteering on-site or donating materials such as cement, sand, or financial assistance.
The initiative, which began in the capital Ouagadougou, is expected to expand to other cities across the country in the coming months.
NOTE: for more info, I put a video (in French) in the comments.

Niger's border "with Benin will remain closed," declares General Tiani
"The f!ght we are waging is not against Benin, it's against the Frโฌnch destabilizing troops who are on Beninese territory and who could harm us," he told Tรฉlรฉ Sahel on Saturday evening.
Niger closed its border with Benin following the July 26, 2023, coup in Niamey.

New military gear has arrived. AES armies continue modernizing their equipment. By the way, the Malien army is ranked 18th in Africa. That's higher than the other AES countries and 34 of the remaining African countries. AES is working on having a unified army that is being trained by Russia.

BREAKING .. ๐ณ๐ช
General Adurahman Tiani, the President of Niger, during a live interview that has just ended on Niger national TV, RTN , gave some sickening information on how the imperi@listes and their NGOs are working tirelessly to destabilize the Sahel countries. He said that, it's Fr@nce, the EU and the former US administration are the ones behind all the instability in the AES countries. This wise general who rarely speaks in public, has revealed too much information during the 2-hour plus interview. He said that Fr@nce and its allies are afraid that there will be a domino effect in other countries in Africa if AES succeeds. Therefore, they, Fr@nce and its allies, are doing everything to take down one of the AES leaders to stop the AES progression.
In my viewpoint, they're focusing on taking down Traorรฉ first. Beaucoup they fear him the most as his influence is far beyond the AES countries.
The general said that the African continent is the richest in the world but its people are the most misรฉrable on the planet.
By the way, the US had a drone base in Niger with over 1000 troops. Very powerful survellance drones that can see the movement of ants in the entire Sahel region, but inspite if that, the terr0rist groups continued moving freely in the region in large groups by motorcycles att@cking and mass k!lling people everywhere in the region for years until General Tiani came to power in 2023 and ordered the Americans to leave his country. This is how the drone base was shutdown and the 1000+ American soldiers left the country. Imagine the US having this 1000+ men with advanced drones in a big base then kept watching Niger falling apart for years without any intervention while the drones were flying over the region monitoring and capturing everything 24/7 !!!
And for info, the Red Cross was shutdown in Niger in 2024 as the authorities found out that it was involved in financing the terr0rist groups.

Burkina - China : CCTV Cameras
China is the world leading country when it comes to video surveillance. There are over 700 million surveillance cameras on Chinese streets and public places. It is estimated that 50% of surveillance cameras in the world are installed in Chana.
China is helping Burkina build a robust network of surveillance cameras nationwide. The first phase of the project has been completed. Today, Burkina Minister of Security accompanied by a delegation from the Chinese embassy in Ouaga visited the Command Center of the surveillance camera network. Those who visit Burkina will notice that there are cameras everywhere on the street.
The other day I said that things are happening in every ministery within Traore's adminittation. Yesterday i posted about the Ministery of Health concerning the reduction of health care costs. This one here is the Ministry of Security, another exemple that things are moving in every Ministry but I cannot keep up and post everything. I mainly post when Capt Traore himself goes to inaugurate things.

Just in .. Burkina - USA ๐ง๐ซ๐บ๐ธ :
President Trump sends an emissary to Ouagadougou
At the initiative of President Donald Trump, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for West Africa, Will Stevens, visited the Burkinabe capital on Tuesday, May 27.
In the evening, he was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation, and Burkinabe Abroad.
The U.S. envoy said he came to reiterate the United States' commitment to rebuilding strong cooperation with Burkina Faso.
"I come today with a message from President Donald Trump, which is to work together to build a pragmatic relationship based on mutual respect and respect for each country's sovereignty; we can collaborate, work together to address challenges, and improve our relations," he said after the meeting.
With the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the aim was to explore various areas and opportunities for cooperation to strengthen relations between the two partners, with several prospects for cooperation, including strengthening trade relations and security cooperation.
Minister Karamoko Jean-Marie Traore welcomed this approach by the American President, who understood the need to send an envoy to the field to obtain firsthand information.
The Burkinabe Foreign Minister also provided clarification on the vision and principles that now guide the Burkinabe State in its cooperation relations, asserting that the Burkinabe authorities are committed to building strategic partnerships that enable the building of a sovereign nation.
"As Burkinabe, as Sahelians, and as Africans, we want mutual respect, respect for our sovereignty; Africa is a continent like any other, and Africans are human beings like any other; "We want a change of perspective and interpretation, for us to understand each other, to avoid frustrating rhetoric, and to build our relations on an egalitarian principle," the Burkinabe foreign minister suggested to the American envoy, while welcoming the fact that the Trump administration is beginning to understand this vision.
On the security issue, Minister Traore expressed regret that in this context, some countries, including the United States, based on principles and ignoring the realities on the ground, are preventing countries suffering from terrorism from acquiring war material and equipment.
In response, the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, in office since January 2025, promised to personally invest in resolving this situation and ensuring significant progress in the fight against terrorism and its financing in the sub-region.
Asked how he reacted to General Langley's remarks on Burkina Faso, which sparked strong reactions around the world, the American envoy suggested that he was there "to send a positive message, to restore mutual trust, and to foster a new dynamic of cooperation between Ouagadougou and Washington."
