POWER OF EKE, EKE & EKE
Do you know why Eke, Eke, and Eke have the same spelling and pronunciation?
Eke- means creation!
Eke- is a market day
Eke- means python
EKE-- CHINAEKE
The first Eke is taking from Chi na Eke
Which means CHINAEKE, the God of the creation..
Whom we also identify as the Chiukwu na Eke and Chiukwu Okike depending on your dialect.
From the community where I come from, we identify him with ChinaEke
The Chi there is the God, that is the supreme power energy.
In Igbo tradition, we believe there are many other Chi's but only one is the overall, supper power and above all....
This Chi is separated from other Chi's with his ability to create and form things.
In the position where the overall Chi is available, then other Chi's work hand to hand with him.
Everyone of us has a Chi, our Chi and ChinaEke is working together for our good.
That's why when we sing most of our igbo songs, we identify both with our Chi and ChinaEke in the songs
But some people don't know they are different people...
But though you can not receive anything from ChinaEke without your Chi...
Your Chi your voice, your advocate!
EKE- MARKET DAY
During the creation, the first thing that ChinaEke created was the light and that light he called it a Eke... Using it to glory himself!
Which is the first born of creation, the Eke market day, the son(sun) of God!
That Eke is the first day, which is the first sun day. The beginning of the week!
So the Eke means the light of creation which we also identify as the first day of the week and the first born of creation. Eke market day...
EKE- PYTHON (see goddess)
And after ChinaEke saw that the light was good and he created the waters and then honoured it with the creature called Eke... python..
The python is designed in a way that you can see the light of God on its body.
It glitters, it glows, it's a wow creature.
The water gave birth to everything we have today, the land, the trees and the animals...
