Plans for works at the Testing Centre in Sharjah
In early January, we released the publication with the main plans of the SkyWay project for 2021. Specifically, these plans include the following:
– The presentation of two new types of the SkyWay heavy transport, which are planned to be used in the first commercial projects.
– The signing of at least 3 contracts for targeted projects.
– Participation in the world exhibition Expo-2021, which is scheduled to begin in Dubai on 1 October, 2021.
Over the past few weeks, we have received the information about a more detailed timeline related to the testing of the string transport in the UAE. There have been announced the following plans:
– In mid-February to completely finish the works on the 400-metre light test track.
– In March, on the light track, to begin the first passenger tests, which in full are to be completed by the end of 2021.
– In May, to prepare the 2.5-km heavy track for testing.
Those plans were stated over the past two weeks for the media, The National and Emirates Vision Media Network publications by Oleg Zaretskiy, CEO of SkyWay GreenTech, and Hussain Al Mahmudi, CEO of Sharjah Research and Technology Park (SRTI Park).
