They Plotted Against Me,_Defense Minister Musa Opens Up On Survival, Faith And Destiny.
According to The Sun news, Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd.), has shared a deeply personal story about how he survived what he described as conspiracies and opposition on his path to national leadership.
Musa made the revelation while giving a testimony during a church service at Conquerors Global Assembly in Abuja, a moment that has since drawn attention across the country. The testimony was monitored by Church Times and later shared on its official platform.
Speaking candidly, the Defence Minister said there were times when forces worked behind the scenes to stop his rise, but he believes divine intervention turned the situation around. According to him, the obståcles he faced were not ordinary, yet they failed to derail his destiny.“I know there were people who didn’t want me to get here,” Musa told the congregation. “But God had a different plan.”
The retired general said his journey taught him the importance of faith, patience and resilience, especially in moments when things seemed uncertain. He described his current role as Minister of Defence as a responsibility that comes with both pressure and purpose.
Musa encouraged Nigerians not to lose hope when faced with challenges, stressing that setbacks do not always mean failure. He urged people to stay focused, trust God and continue working hard, even when progress appears slow.
The human side of the testimony resonated with many worshippers, who listened quietly as the minister reflected on his past struggles and present responsibilities. For some, his words offered reassurance that perseverance can still pay off, even in Nigeria’s tough political and security environment.

Since his appointment, General Musa has been at the centre of Nigeria’s fịght against terrorism, bånditry and insecurity. His testimony adds a personal layer to a public figure often seen only through official statements and security briefings.
As reactions continue to trail his remarks, many Nigerians see the story not just as a religious reflection, but as a reminder that behind power and position are real human battles — often unseen, but deeply felt.
