Jesus Christ said, ''If it be possible, even the elect shall be deceived''
Is this not being fulfilled now in our present days?
Matthew 24:24
[24]For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Satan has raised up so many false teachers through Social media, who are openly preaching against the doctrines of Christ. One of those things they are preacheing against is tithing in the New Testament. And the question is, did Jesus come to cancel the law? Let Jesus answer by himself.
Matthew 5:17
[17]Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
1. After all, tithing has been in operation before the law.
Genesis 14:19-20
[19]And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
[20]And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
2. Tithing was practiced during the law.
Numbers 18:24
[24]But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the LORD, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.
3. Tithe was also practiced even during the prophets.
Malachi 3:10
[10]Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
This is a direct command from God and disobedience to it would surely bring a just recompense.
Hebrews 2:1-2
[1]Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
[2]For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
4. Now Jesus confirmed and supported payment of tithe.
Matthew 23:23
[23]Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cu**in, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
If you understand English very well, this verse shouldn't give you any problem. And if you have problem understanding it, go and check other translation of the Bible.
Now, some Preachers and their blind followers argue that, Jesus was talking or preaching to the Jews in the passage above and not to the Church. Have they forgotten that Jesus Christ is the foundation upon which the Church was built?
Matthew 16:17-18
[17]And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
[18]And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
How do we know that Jesus was referring to Himself here as the foundation , upon which the Church was built? Let the Bible speak.
1 Corinthians 3:10-11
[10]According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
[11]For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Therefore, in as much as Jesus didn't destroy the law and instead, support the payment of tithe, if you are a believer who want to make heaven, you better take Jesus word very seriously. Knowingly fully well that Jesus Christ is the WORD personified. Tithing is relevant in the new testament, if you obey the command, you do it for your own good and if you do otherwise, you would answer for yourself at the Great White Throne Judgement for your disobedience. Aside ceremonial law that had been cancelled by the death of Christ, the principle of the remaining old testament law still valid for us to follow.
Isaiah 1:19-20
[19]If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
[20]But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Obedience is the mark of every true child of God.
Beware of social media Pastors, who are out to deceive you, the elect. Stay and stand on your conviction which you have believed these years and never allow somebody who was not there when you got saved to remove your name from the Book of Life and send you to Hell Fire. Remember, it was people that pushed Saul, the first king in Israel and God didn't exornerate him. He was rejected for his disobedience.
1 Samuel 15:24
[24]And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.
