HOW TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN WHO CAN'T READ.
Research has shown that only 20% of children in Nigeria can read after Primary School.
The implication of this is that 80% of children in Nigeria will leave Primary School without being able to read.
We need to reduce this as fast as possible.
HOW CAN THIS BE ACHIEVED?
🍓Train more teachers, parents and school owners to teach children how to read.
This is because children cannot catch reading, it has to be taught and a lot of adults desire to help children to read but do not have the knowledge.
🍓Children are taught to read by people and the most important of these people are teachers.
Teachers need to learn the process involved in how children learn to read and this will make the reading process smooth.

5 WAYS TO HELP YOUR CHILD BECOME BETTER AT READING.
There are many ways to help a child become better at reading. I am sharing five ways to help your child become better at reading.
🌹 Read aloud daily to your child. Reading aloud to children helps them build an interest in reading. You can do this for older children too.
🌹Help your child hear the sounds in spoken words.
🌹Teach your child the sounds of the letters of the alphabet. When teaching the sounds of the letters, avoid adding additional sounds at the end of consonants. e.g. Letter 'd' sounds /d/ and not 'duh', letter 'f' sounds /f/ and not 'fuh'
🌹Teach him or her how to join the sounds together to form words like /r/ /a/ /t/ rrrraaaaattttt.
🌹Give your child opportunities to read sentences daily with the sounds that he or she has been taught.
