I've always wondered what it means to be "Self-aware"
The whole idea seemed abstract to me at first. I thought c'mon we're all aware of ourselves, we can think for ourselves and so we own our opinions.
I could say I am self-aware because I see my exterior and know when I'm happy, sad or in need of a high to maybe feel alive a bit.

But the past few months have opened me up in such a way where my idea of self-awareness has been proven to be shallow.

There's a depth to this thing.
I am not self-aware because of my exterior but rather my interior.
It is what happens in the invisible part of me that controls the visible part of me. Hence the need to look

From the ashes, beauty
From the dirt, gold
Craft your way through blazes of fire storms
And be true, be you!
