The Place of Community Development Practice in Social Development
Community development fits into, supports, and advances the broader goals of social development. Community development practice is the engine room of social development. Already, community development knowledge and skills are at a premium, even in advanced economies. It is indispensable for every citizen and everyone with interest in addressing poverty and improving quality of life and the living standard of people. The development programmes of the multilateral agencies and other international development bodies’ support development programmes based upon community development initiatives and strategies.
