Moolu Venture Capital LP and Moolu Venture Lab participated in the Innovation Fair 2025 in Brussels, represented by Prince Ogbonna , Managing Partner and CEO. The event, themed “Enabling that Step Forward,” served as a major continental convergence for innovation actors; startups, SMEs, research institutions, and policymakers, driving the AU–EU Innovation Agenda (2023–2033) and the Union for the Mediterranean’s R&I Roadmaps.

The fair featured pitch sessions, exhibitions, and strategic networking engagements, with over 500 participants joining both onsite and online. Moolu’s presence at the Africa–Europe Innovation Platform (AIEP) session, “Bridging Continents through Innovation,” underscored its commitment to deepening cross-continental collaboration between Africa and Europe, connecting innovators, academia, investors, and policymakers to co-create solutions that unlocked shared economic and social opportunities.

A key highlight was participation in the AU-EU Science Diplomacy Dialogue, a milestone conversation on aligning scientific collaboration and diplomatic frameworks to accelerate sustainable innovation across both continents.

For Moolu Venture Capital and Moolu Venture Lab, this engagement was more than just representation; it reinforced their ecosystem mandate to connect African innovation pipelines to global markets, facilitate access to impact-driven financing, and embed research-led, inclusive, and sustainable innovation in Africa’s startup ecosystem.

This participation aligned with Moolu’s broader objective of serving as a bridge between local innovation ecosystems and global opportunity networks, fostering growth, technology transfer, and responsible investment models that strengthened Africa’s position within the global innovation value chain.

Many thanks to all stakeholders who put the great event together, including the amiable Vincenzo Lorusso, Nienke Buisman, Brando Okolo, Ahmed Maalel, Euraxess Africa, and many other partners and friends connected.

We are thrilled that our Chief Executive Officer, Prince Ogbonna, was invited by the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) to present a lecture paper on “Mapping Nigeria's Raw Material Diversity: Geospatial Analysis and Resource Distribution.”

In the presence of the DG and senior directors of the council, Prince delivered an engaging session that explored Nigeria’s mineral and agricultural resources through the lens of Geospatial Technologies and Artificial Intelligence. It was mind-blowing to see how much potential in resources was yet to be explored in Nigeria. Africa is indeed an endowed continent.

Key takeaway: Nigeria’s untapped mineral potential was valued at over $700 billion, a massive opportunity for economic diversification, industrial growth, and sustainable revenue generation beyond oil. Geospatial Technologies and Artificial Intelligence offered transformational opportunities for sector advancement.

At Moolu Venture Lab, we saw our role as an innovation support organization to inspire institutions that manage and coordinate Nigeria’s critical resources. It was encouraging to witness government leaders demonstrating a genuine hunger for growth and knowledge.

A big thank you to Prof. Nnanyelugo Martin Ike-Muonso for the kind invitation, and we looked forward to making an impact together.
