Licensing, monthly reports... customs announces new rules for courier firms
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the commencement of a new standard operating procedure (SOP) to regulate courier companies operating under the delivered duty paid (DDP) incoterm.
Delivered duty paid is an incoterm (international commercial term) where the seller assumes maximum responsibility, covering all costs and risks for shipping goods to the buyer’s specified destination, including export and import duties, taxes, insurance, and customs clearance, ensuring the buyer only receives the package without unexpected charges.
