Esenwah Expands Healthcare Support, Enrolls 400 Constituents in Delta Contributory Health Scheme

By : Ike Philip Abiagom

In a bold demonstration of people-centered representation, the member representing Oshimili North Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Frank N. Esenwah, has doubled the number of vulnerable constituents benefiting from the Delta State Contributory Health Scheme (DSCHS), raising the figure from 200 to an impressive 400 enrollees.

The initiative, which is fully funded by Hon. Esenwah, covers the annual premiums of beneficiaries, giving them access to essential medical services without financial burden. Beneficiaries include the elderly, widows, low-income earners, and individuals with chronic health needs.

According to the lawmaker, effective representation goes beyond speeches and promises; it requires tangible interventions that improve daily living.
“Healthcare is not a privilege—it is a necessity. If we want strong communities, we must first ensure healthy citizens,” Esenwah stated.

Residents across the constituency have begun accessing care under the scheme, marking this as a practical solution and not a political pledge awaiting fulfilment. Community leaders and healthcare officials have also commended the gesture, describing it as one of the most impactful constituency interventions in recent times.

With plans already underway for further expansion, Hon. Esenwah says the goal is to ensure that more households have the security of reliable healthcare.
“We started with 200. Today we are at 400. And we are not stopping. Every investment in health is an investment in the future of Oshimili North,” he added.

The expansion underscores his commitment to delivering representation rooted in action—where promises are replaced with results and governance is measured by the well-being of the people.

PASTOR IDOWU OKEZE: A MAN WHO CANNOT STOP TOUCHING LIVES IN IGBUZO

By: Ike Philip Abiagom

In a world where true philanthropy is rare, Pastor Idowu Okeze continues to stand tall as a shining example of selfless service and compassion. His unwavering commitment to community development and empowerment has continued to make lasting impact across Igbuzo, his beloved hometown.

Just last week, Pastor Okeze once again demonstrated his boundless generosity by donating state-of-the-art science laboratory equipment to St. Thomas’s College, Igbuzo. The gesture has brought new excitement and hope to students and teachers who, for years, struggled with inadequate facilities for practical learning in science subjects. With this modern laboratory, the students of St. Thomas’s College can now compete favorably with their peers in urban schools, and pursue excellence in science and technology education.

But that’s just the beginning. Pastor Okeze is already preparing another round of life-changing donations aimed at strengthening the economic and security fabric of Igbuzo. According to reliable sources, he plans to distribute 35 tricycles (Keke) to empower local youths and families, providing them with a sustainable means of livelihood.

In addition, he is set to donate three electricity transformers to help improve power supply across several communities in Igbuzo — a move that will no doubt bring relief to residents who have long endured poor electricity infrastructure.

Not stopping there, Pastor Okeze has also procured eight shuttle buses and ten motorcycles for local security operatives. The gesture is designed to enhance community policing and ensure greater safety in the forests and outskirts of Igbuzo, where vigilante groups have been working tirelessly to keep the area secure.

Through these consistent acts of generosity, Pastor Idowu Okeze has proven that leadership is not about holding public office but about having the heart to serve humanity. His kindness cut
