It's no longer news that for our economy to grow, we need to change our ideology and create a realistic blueprint. Today, we have millions of youths who has acquired different academic certificate but finds it difficult to juggle between survival in the society. What then is the fate of children who can't go to school, children who are vulnerable and lives in the street?

Teaching these children skills allows them participate in hands-on or practical skills which will serve as a firm foundation to survive and strive in our society today. The beauty is that, these children get the chance to bring out their inner strength, produce products and render services.

It's important for these children to acquire practical and workable knowledge in specific trade or occupation rather than begging before they can eat. They get to understand the world of work and responsibilities, how to manage finance and be productive instead of searching for jobs which seems unavailable rather they will create employment opportunities for other kids and the society at large.

THE PLIGHT OF THE ALMAGIRIS

Being an Almagiri in our present world is a default ticket to struggle and continuous suffering. For a child trying to seek for knowledge, end up in the street struggling to survive the different path life has to offer.

The Almagiris are deprived the experience of a normal child upbringing. They grew up in the street, nurture and molded by the street without love, compassion and guidance. Other children have their parents to guide them but the Almagiris have the street to depend on as they accept what she has to offer while been exposed to abuse, humiliation, used as slaves and easily recruited for crimes.

Today, most of these children are product of broken home, nonchalant system and economy challenges in the family. They are neglected by parents, shun by the society and betrayed by the system.

These children are condemned to fail by the society as they are seen as nothing but mere destitute. They have become our bad food trash bin, our rag models, our to-do slaves and become hopeless and desperate.

The Champion In Us wants to rebuild their broken image. We want to be a shoulder that carry their plights, a hope that wipes their tears, a voice that sings their questions. We want to be more than just a hand that feed or cloth them. We want to invest skills, knowledge and experience in them which will change their lives forever.

These children are our greatest life warriors who has survived the ills life has to offer. They battle daily with no weapon but HOPE.

THE BEAUTY OF SHARING

Knowledge is power. A power that can build and restore hope and progress in a society. Should we turn a blind eye on the impact it has when we share with others? Everyone has something valuable to share, perhaps you may not trust yourself or believe you can, but we at The Champion In Us believe you can.
