As Nigerian pilgrims currently in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia prepare for the Day of Arafah, the Commissioner in charge of Policy, Personnel, Management and Finance, PPMF at the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, Prince Abdulrazak Aliu, has reminded pilgrims of the spiritual significance and immense blessings attached to the sacred day of Arafah.
The NAHCON PPMF Commissioner described the Day of Arafah, as one of the most blessed days in Islam, devoted to intense supplication, repentance, remembrance of Allah and the seeking of divine forgiveness.
He noted that the day of Arafah offers Muslims a unique opportunity to draw closer to Allah through sincere prayers and acts of devotion.
The NAHCON Commissioner further recalled the saying of Prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him that, “the best supplication is the supplication made on the Day of Arafah." He urged Nigerian pilgrims to maximize the spiritual benefits of the occasion through heartfelt prayers and reflection.
He also called on pilgrims to remember Nigeria in their prayers, especially the nation’s leaders at all levels, while seeking blessings for their families and states of origin.
“To witness the Day of Arafah is a blessing. So, while praying for yourselves and your families, do not forget to pray for your state of origin. Also pray for Nigeria and for the country’s leaders at all levels,” Prince Abdulrazak stated.
