Meet Dr. Emeka, OAU Best Graduating Medical Student who is currently on full scholarship at the University of Oxford.

Emeka was also the best graduating student at Covenant University where he studied microbiology before proceeding to study medicine in OAU.

Meet Professor Abdallah Uba Adamu, a native of Kano. He holds the rare distinction of becoming a Professor twice in two distinct fields, a feat achieved by only a handful of Nigerians.

At Bayero University, Kano, he was promoted in 1997 as the first Professor of Science Education, and in 2012 as the first Professor of Media and Cultural Communication.

He remains the only person in Northern Nigeria to attain this exceptional milestone. Beyond academics, he is celebrated for his extensive work on Hausa language, history, culture, films, and the influence of social media. Notably, in the 1990s, he pioneered the digital encoding of Hausa special characters (ɓ, Ɓ, ɗ, Ɗ, ƙ, Ƙ) on computers.

From 2016 to 2021, he served as Vice-Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria, where he introduced far-reaching reforms in distance learning.

Let's meet Isaac Jagi. He graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with First class honours at the University of Jos, Nigeria.

He completed his degree with a cumulative grade point average of 4.50 over 5.00 during the 2024 academic session.

He applied to the University for three years with exceptional results but was not offered admission. With the encouragement of loved ones, he applied for Veterinary Medicine -a decision that changed his life.

His journey wasn't without challenges. The pressure and burnout almost made him quit. Although, he was seen as one of the top students, though he struggled silently.

Finally, he achieved his goal of getting a First class grade.

Meet Azeez Ayomide, a graduate of the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.

Azeez bagged a prestigious Senior Data Centre IT Support role at Microsoft in the United State of America.

He graduated as a merit-based student from FUTO and transitioned to the United States, dealing with numerous rejections along the way.

Microsoft is a multinational technology company, headquartered in Redmond, Washington, that develops, licenses, and sells software, services, and hardware, with over 230,000 employees Worldwide.

Today, Azeez has joined Microsoft in the numbers and is doing amazingly well.
