Managing family with fame is not easy. I have been married more than ten years, and my wife often sits in the audience and watches me. People see the red carpet, but they do not see the quiet battle at home. My biggest challenge in this job is when I must leave the house for a long time to shoot a film.

Before I go on set, I cut myself off from normal life. In that period, I am not husband or father. I become the person I am acting. The children do not like it when I travel again and again. I explain that I go so I can bring them toys and better TV. Slowly they understand, but inside, leaving them still hurts me deeply.

Being a star looks sweet from far away, but it is not easy at all. I cannot just walk anywhere like a regular person now. People stop me, they stare, they ask for pictures all the time. Many days I feel tired, but I still smile and stay kind, because these same people helped to build my career and my name in Nollywood.

I also try to stay very humble. I remind myself that fame can disappear if I act proud or careless. So I stay focused, I work hard, and I try to live a simple life. When it feels heavy, I remember that this is the life I chose as an actor, and I carry my cross with patience and grace.
