Romans 10:8-10 (KJV) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

CAUTION DON'T QUOTE ME 1JOHN 1:9 AS A DEFENCE FOR CONFESSION OF SIN.

WE CAN DO AN EXEGETICAL STUDY ON FIRST JOHN 1 BEGINNING FROM THE FIRST VERSE TO VERSE 9 IN ORDER TO BRING THE TRUTH ON THE BELIEVERS CONFESSION.

WE HAVE TO EXAMINE FORGIVENESS AND CONFESSION OF SIN BEFORE THE LAW, UNDER THE LAW, IN THE PSALMS AND THE PROPHETS IN CONTRAST TO THE POSITION IN THE EPISTLES IN ORDER TO ARRIVE AT THE FACTS ON CONFESSION OF SIN IN 1JOHN 1:9.

1JOHN 1: 9 IS THE ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL NOT A CONFESSION OF SIN.
