Portable has been arrested again and in Police custody until January 19 when his bail application will be considered

Portable was arraigned before the Ogun State High Court sitting in Onipanu, Ota, on charges including assæult, felony occasioning hærm and resisting arrest. He was accused of attack!ng one of his wives, Ashabi and obstructing a female police inspector, Ogungbe Olayemi, in the course of her official duties. He assæulted the officer while she was carrying out her work. He also attæccked some other people at his Odogwu bar on New Year’s Day

Although Ashabi was absent from court, her two siblings were present as witnesses. Portable was emotional and he broke down in tears during the proceedings. His counsel applied for bail but the judge declined to grant it, noting that the assæulted police officer was not in court. The judge stated that he must see the officer before ruling on the bail application

Portable has been remanded in custody until January 19 when his bail application will be considered
