REPENTANCE AND FORGIVENESS OF SINS.
Rom.2.1 - Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
Rom.2.2 - But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
Rom.2.3 - And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
Rom.2.4 - Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
Luke.24.46 - And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
Luke.24.47 - And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
The word "Repentance" is the Greek "METANOEO". META - to change or to shift. NOEO — to think. Literally, it means, to change in thinking. When a man's mindset has been shifted, his actions align accordingly. Every change happens first in the mind. Repentance simply means to change/shift your mindset. To change in thinking.
Luke.3.7 - Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Luke.3.8 - Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
To repent is not to regret or feel bad for your sin. It is not to be sorrowful. Some believers come to church and end up feeling sorrowful, thinking they're "repenting" or "changing their ways". It is not to change your ways. There's no Scripture supporting that.
Repentance instead is being preached, as the Gospel is being preached.
Mark.1.15 - And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Matt.4.17 - From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
The Kingdom is communicated by words. It is not a land mass territory. It is not a physical location. Its influence is not in territory, but on power. The power of God's Word. The Kingdom is in His Word.
To repent is to believe the Gospel. And it is preached when we preach the Gospel (Luke 24: 46-48). And man has got a choice; to believe or to not believe.
Acts.11.18 - When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
2Pet.3.9 - The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Acts.15.7 - And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
Acts.15.8 - And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
Acts.15.9 - And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
"Readiness for repentance" or "rapture" is not in action. Readiness is in belief. Wrong actions and attitudes eventually cease to exist when a believer understands his full identity in Christ.
Repentance means; to the unsaved, to believe the Gospel. To the believer; Spiritual Growth. Our thinking comes from responding to the Word.
Rom.12.1 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom.12.2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Eph.4.17 - This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
Eph.4.18 - Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
Eph.4.19 - Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
Eph.4.20 - But ye have not so learned Christ;
Eph.4.21 - If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
Eph.4.22 - That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
Eph.4.23 - And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
Eph.4.24 - And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

DEVELOPING THE SPIRIT BEING 2
The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord. In Christ, our Spirits unite. There's no dual spirit with the believer. We are to be conscious of the Spirit. We are to yield to the Spirit. To allow the Spirit carry us. You will have success as you listen to the Spirit and become more conscious of it.
1John.2.20 - But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
1John.2.27 - But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
The Spirit lives in us. We are not in the flesh but in the Spirit. The earlier we get hold of this, the better for us.
Phlm.1.6 - That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
The Spirit came fully packed, missing nothing. Therefore we are not deficient of anything and this can be effective in the believer via the knowledge he/she has. The consciousness of the fact that we are Spirit beings will alter our words, thoughts and actions.
We can never overemphasize our Spirit being. We are in the Spirit cos the Spirit of God dwells in us, tabernacles in us, resides in us. The Spirit tabernacles. We are carriers, temples of the Spirit of God. When we acknowledge this, it will change our activities, our lifestyle, our conversation. The believer is in the Spirit and the Spirit is in the believer.
Ezek.36.24 - For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
Ezek.36.25 - Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
Ezek.36.26 - A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Ezek.36.27 - And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
You can observe that Ezekiel spoke of the indwelling of the Spirit. And at the time of his saying this, it was a promise. The promise of God as prophesied by Ezekiel was to be fulfilled by God in the fullness of time, which is what happened on the day of Pentecost.
Today, it is no longer a promise. It has been fulfilled. The Spirit is in each and everyone of us all. One Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:13, 6:11). Therefore, we are now temples of the Spirit. Each and everyone of us, a pure vessel carrying the Holy Spirit of God.
2Cor.6.14 - Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
2Cor.6.15 - And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
2Cor.6.16 - And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
The believer is holy because God has sanctified us, and cleansed us, and set us apart in Himself. The temple of God, the house of God, is not physical. It can only be identified by the indwelling of the Spirit of God, which is in a born again man. So also, you know the temple of idols by the idols in it.
