This might feel a bit out of context, but it’s important.
I came across a post about narcissism and how people can avoid falling victim and it reminded me of something many underestimate.
People often think they understand narcissists well enough.
But the truth is, you can never be too careless, especially with covert narcissists.
They don’t show up as obvious villains.
They build connection first.
They wait until you’re emotionally attached or deeply invested.
That’s when the mind games begin.
Slowly, your reality is questioned.
Your reactions are highlighted, while their behavior is hidden.
And before you know it, others are convinced you are the problem.
Many narcissists are intelligent, charming, and socially aware.
That’s what makes the manipulation subtle, not dramatic.
The most important protection isn’t trying to outsmart them.
It’s listening to your intuition, noticing patterns, and honoring early discomfort.
You don’t need to prove anything.
You don’t need a diagnosis.
You just need to trust yourself enough to step away when something doesn’t feel right.
Merry Christmas 🤍
Whether today feels joyful, quiet, heavy, or a mix of everything, you’re allowed to feel exactly what you feel.
May this season bring you moments of rest,
gentleness for your heart, and reminders that you are not alone.
Sending warmth and kindness your way today. 🎄✨
Healing requires unlearning.
So be kind to yourself.
You’re not just learning new habits,
you’re unlearning survival.
You’re unlearning silence.
You’re unlearning self-blame, over-explaining, and shrinking to stay safe.
That takes time.
If healing feels slow, it’s because your nervous system is learning something new:
peace.
So don’t rush yourself.
Don’t shame yourself for old patterns.
Don’t call growth failure just because it’s uncomfortable.
Unlearning is part of healing.
Be kind to yourself while you do it. 🤍
