VILA ALGARVE (1934) - Maputo
During the Mozambican Liberation Struggle, PIDE used this place as its headquarters. Many resistance fighters were tortured here, including some famous people like Malangatana, José Craveirinha, Rui Knopfli and others.
Because of its sad past, it is seen by many people as a haunted place and today, it accommodates many homeless people.
