REASON 8: expansion

Have you ever tried to sit still for a while? But really, a b s o l u t e l y s t i l l

One by one, your boundaries soften. After some time, all that exists are a pulsation of sensations appearing and disappearing… the effortless cycle of breath…

Your skin is gone… dissolved as if it never existed in the first place.

And there is your heart quietly beating in the dark the drum of life i AM i AM i AM…

What is inside and what is outside of “I”? The boundary is not so clear anymore.

i AM all and i AM none
i AM that ~ sa ham
I AM the nameless that,
which is behind all in creation

I meditate because it teaches me that I am not small. i AM the same creative force that creates worlds.

10 reasons why I MEDITATE
REASON 6: Learning to STAY

You sit down, take a deep breath, get still and begin to meditate… Immediately your mind throws out one million reasons to leave, to move, to escape.

“I’m just too tired today. There’s a mosquito biting me. I have too much work to get done. I can’t stop thinking about the fight that I had with my husband…”

The excuses are endless 😅! You must to renew your determination many many times… TO STAY

The truth is that the idea of doing nothing is very scary to most of us. All of our “stuff” comes up to the surface. Some sensations are acceptable, enjoyable even. But others make us want to run!

From childhood, most of us develop ways to escape when the going gets tough. We’ll do anything to avoid really feeling the discomfort.

And society supports our escaping, numbing habits like - social media scrolling, workaholism, multi-tasking, smoking, drinking, noise and chaos, over- and under- eating, never-ending self-development… do do do and do some more. Anything to avoid being still and just FEELING.

I meditate because it teaches me to resist the temptation to run away. And when I am empowered to fiercely stay with me, no matter what comes up, I learn that I truly can RELY ON MYSELF.

10 reasons I MEDITATE: REASON 1 ~ Self-LOVE

“Am I doing this out of LACK or am I doing this out of LOVE?”
With any thought, word or action, I like to bring this question to the fire 🔥 of truth in my heart.

There is a pandemic of “NOT ENOUGH-NESS” in our society. We feel we don’t HAVE enough, we are not DOING enough, we ARE NOT enough. We are in a constant state of LACK - a “POVERTY” of “enough-ness”.

In that state, we normalize choosing from a place of LACK. We grasp at external things, fear to let go. Or we push things away, fear to let them close…

When we finally arrive at stillness in meditation, we get to sit with THE TRUTH = I AM ENOUGH. In this state, you don’t NEED anything except to breathe. You don’t need water or food. You don’t need someone to love you. You don’t need to get anything done. You don’t need anything that is sourced from outside. Just to BE. Just to BE…
