Featured Project - Application of the BeltShield® system to replenish the rubber cover to get the belt through the 6 weeks until a major shut down.

Pilbara, WA, Australia - The client was one of the biggest iron ore miners in the world. They wanted to get the 20km conveyor to last until their next major shut down. As the first fullscale trial, our client applied the BeltShield® system to the belt when it was stationary. The belt owner wanted 6 weeks. Turns out it was still going 12 months later! They did further sectiosn of the belt in additional short shuts and are now talking about using the BeltShield® system to extend the belt replacement by up to 5 years!

The BeltShield® system is a 100% solids primer and a 100% solids polyurea top coat specifically designed to stick to rubber and withstand the forces on the products as they go over the head rollers within minutes of application.

The ShieldPrime SP and ShieldPrime CV systems are revolutionary in that they are the first 100% solids primer that bonds to rubber as well if not better than the heavily solvented products that crews are typically subjected to.

The exceptional adhesion and the physical properties of the ShieldPoly CV mean that the product won’t peel off in sheets. The excellent blend of physical properties means that it can out-perform the original rubber cover, with minimal peeling at the feathered edges.

Cyclone Tank Restoration | Industrial Repainting Works

Cyclone tanks are critical process equipment in oil & gas operations, designed to separate solids from fluids using centrifugal force and pressure, protecting downstream systems and ensuring uninterrupted operations in demanding environments.

A series of cyclone tanks recently underwent sequential restoration and repainting, following strict industrial surface preparation and coating procedures to restore performance, safety, and longevity.

Project Highlights
• Surface preparation conducted inside the blast shed, including removal of stickers, masking plates, and contaminants
• Structural repairs completed on damaged handrails by certified boilermakers
• Tanks abrasive blasted to achieve correct surface profile
• Application of CPox ZP230 zinc-rich primer for corrosion protection
• Intermediate and topcoats applied using ST170 / RAL7035 Grey
• Safety and identification coatings applied:
• RAL3002 Red on valves and lugs
• RAL1023 Safety Yellow on handrails
• Tank skids water blasted, abrasive blasted, primed, and coated
• Final reassembly completed, including refitting of hoses and accessories

Each stage was carefully executed to ensure the assets are returned to service with enhanced durability, safety visibility, and extended service life.

Restoring Industrial Equipment with ShieldCrete & CIN C-Pox

Our team recently restored compressor units and their frames exposed to high moisture and oil using the CIN C-Pox ST170 High Solid Base and Primer .

The high-performance, two-component epoxy system provided strong and reliable adhesion on steel and aluminum surfaces, creating a uniform, high-solids finish for professional results. It also offered enhanced corrosion protection to extend equipment life while reducing maintenance needs and the frequency of recoats.
