Req:
Master’s Degree in Engineering, with extended education and experience in the APC expertise area.
15 Years’ experience.
Additional required qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in Petrochemical and Oil and Gas industry.
• Global expert on APC as demonstrated by significant accomplishments and contributions acquired over a period of minimum 15 years,
• Exp areas shall include cost/benefit analysis, technical design, implementation, commissioning, start-up, maintenance, sustainability, trouble shooting,
failure analyzing and overhaul dedicated to APC systems, with proven experience on project ex*****on, operation and maintenance of:
o APC technology, systems,
industry standards and practices, including step testing, model identification, inferential deployment, interfacing and commissioning, cost/benefit analysis
o Advanced Solutions and RTO technology, systems, industry standards and practices
o Process Modelling and Optimization. Dynamic and steady-state optimization,
o Advanced Regulatory control, Control loops performance, monitoring & fine tune,
o Expert systems design and implementation,
o Plant performance, historian and monitoring systems and processes
o Proven experience in petrochemical APC-applications, both linear as non-linear.
JOB SUMMARY:
To operate as a Global Engineering Advanced Process Control expert with the purpose to drive Manufacturing strategy for fostering continuous improvement in reducing operational risks,
increasing revenue and optimizing cost across all SABIC sites worldwide, through:
• Expertise deployment for APC solutions & improvements
• Development and deployment of APC world class practices and functional expertise
• Identifying and implementing improvement opportunities through internal and external networks, systems, benchmarks and assessments
• Networking & knowledge management and providing specialized training.
JD:
The tasks performed include the following activities:
• Identify, evaluate and recommend improvement needs for APC safety aspects.
• Identify, evaluate, review, develop and deploy technical standards and best practices related to APC.
• Identify, evaluate, develop and deploy technical global initiatives in APC.
• Evaluate new APC technologies and applications.
• Support manufacturing sites to resolve chronic failures/issues at sites globally.
• Support in technical audits/assessments/cold eye reviews and remaining life assessment initiatives.
• Engage with key OEMs to address design issues affecting asset reliability and to maintain knowledge of upcoming technological improvements.
• Monitor the market for new ideas, innovations and identify novel solutions for life cycle management of APC.
• Lead and/or participate in technical networks, forums, conferences and committees.

-+20 years’ in relevant experience to implement electrification program for petrochemical process industry i.e. the process of replacing technologies that use fossil fuels (coal, oil, and natural gas) with technologies that use electricity as a source of energy
• Well qualified in designing and specifying:
• High current electrical heating elements for Crackers
• High current electrical systems such as transformers, thyristor controllers, bus bar systems and connectors for electrical heating systems
• Renewable energy systems such as Solar PV and Wind.
Competencies:
• Awareness of mature technology available at a commercial scale for petrochemical Electrical cracking processes.
• Identify parts of conventional process which can be converted to electrification such as hydrogen production and carbon capture process.
• Be able to conduct techno-commercial analysis and contribute towards feasibility decisions related to the type and scale of process plant electrification.
• Experience in the following:
- Resolving operational / design issues
- Design specifically related to PDP & FEED
- Pre-tender stage design
