Science Lesson: Animal's External Parts
By the end of this lesson, children will be able to:
1- Identify the external parts of animals (e.g beak, claws, hind legs, wings, frill, fins, horns, tail, feathers, webbed feet, antenna, hard shells, fine fur, scales)
2- Relate animals external body parts to their importance
3- Explain using an example the external parts of an animal
Intro:
We talked about what we have learned about animals' external body parts last week. Refresh on the names of animal's body parts that we've learned.
I shout out the name of the parts, the children give me the name of animals that have the mentioned part.
Activity 1:
Identifying the external parts of animals
We gather some books on animals (Grolier - "I Wonder Why?" books has beautiful images and interesting information about different animals)
Each child studies the animals and point out to the external body parts that they have learned.
Activity 2:
Relate to the importance of each animal's body part
Each child chooses an animal with a unique body part use. They learn more about this animal and their body parts.
They then draw their chosen animals and write down the importance of their body parts and how they use them.
Closing:
Present Your Animal!
Record a video of each child presenting their chosen animal ask questions about the importance of its body parts.
Children can do whatever they like to present the animals (based on their abilities) e.g. imitate the animals

Apa ada di sebalik daun?
Tahukah anda terdapat pelbagaikan jenis serangga yang hidup di celah² daun dan pokok?
Aktiviti: Cari² serangga.
Katakan pada anak yang anda semua akan melakukan eksplorasi sebalik daun. Lagi baik jika anda ada kanta pembesar, anak² lagi s**a bila ada gadget ni.
Beritahu pada anak, kalau jumpa serangga boleh ambil gambar dengan telefon anda.. ha.. memang anak² cukup s**a jadi photographer ni..
Boleh ajak anak bincang tentang serangga yang dijumpai, berapa kakinya, apa guna antenanya? Bagaimana ia melihat? Apa yang ia makan?
Aktiviti ini boleh juga dikaitkan dengan pelajaran

Hari ini kami kongsikan aktiviti pembelajaran Bahasa Melayu bagi Tahun 1 Unit 6 - Buku Segalanya
Mendengar & Bertutur: Menjawab Pesanan
Langkah 1 - Ajak anak bercerita tentang perpustakaan. Bincangkan juga apa itu perpustakaan mini.
Langkah 2 - Ajak anak membaca teks.
Fokuskan kepada cara menjawab pesanan, "Baiklah, saya akan…." atau "Ye, saya akan…"
Bimbing murid membaca dan memberi respon.
(Boleh berlatih menggunakan video untuk lebih menyeronokkan)
Lakukan aktiviti main peranan, murid melakonkan watak di dalam buku teks. (Ibubapa boleh rekodkan aktiviti ini supaya anak-anak dapat melihat semula dan juga kongsikan bersama rakan-rakan mereka.)
Aktiviti tambahan:
Latihan menjawab pesanan: Minta murid berdiri, dan jawab "Baiklah saya akan (...ulang semula pesanan)" sekiranya ayat yang diberi adalah ayat pesanan. Bimbing murid menjawab pesanan dengan betul. Sekiranya bukan, minta murid diam dan tidak bergerak (freeze).

Here is an easy lesson for - Year 2 Science
Science Lesson: Plants
LO: 5.1.1 - Explain the importance of plants to animals and humans.
Step - 1:

Sing with your child. Repeat on the subjects on plants: Root, Stem, Leaves & Flowers
Step - 2:
Next show them another video about the importance of plants:

Watch with them. After the video, ask them questions. (Remember the LO today is only to get them to explain about the importance of plants to humans and animals)
Step - 3:
Get your child to do this interesting activity on how we use plants in our daily lives: https://agforkids.com/why-people-need-plants.php
Step - 4:
i) Ask your child to look around him and explain how plants are important to him, the people and animal around him. If he has a pet, talk about it!
or
ii) Ask him to think of one importance of plants that relates to him, get him to do a short recording of himself talking about it. Then he can share it with his friends!
e.g. his comic books - papers are made from trees. (*try to think of the most unusual examples... The ones right under your nose but you just didn't realize it)
