Container Identification System

1) Container Number – is of course the main marking on the door. It is an alpha numeric sequence made up of 4 Alphabets and 7 Numbers.
The container number identification system has been created by the International Standards Organization under their code IS06346:1995(E).
As per this code, the container identification system consists of:

Owner code – 3 letters (in this example ECM)

Equipment category – 1 letter (in our example, U denoting a freight container. Other categories being J for detachable container related equipment (such as Genset) and Z for trailers and chassis).

Serial number – 6 numbers (numbers ONLY)

Check Digit – 1 number (numbers ONLY)
The owner code is unique to the owner of the container and the registration of this code rests with Bureau International des Containers et du Transport Intermodal (BIC).This is to avoid any duplication of code by any shipping line or container operator.

To find the owner of a container, you can always do a BIC Code Search to identify the rightful owner.

However, the owner of the container need not necessarily be operating the container as they could have leased the container to another operator or shipping line.

2) Check Digit – although it is part of the full container number, the check digit is an important number as it can be used to identify if the above mentioned identification sequence is valid or invalid.

For example, if you go to BIC’s Check Digit Calculator and type in the prefix – ECMU and the numbers 465749, see what you get as the Check Digit. It should come up as “6”.

3) Container Owner or Lessor – This is the entity that owns or operates the container. This could be a shipping line, like in this example (CMA CGM Group) or a container leasing company such as SeaCo who’s business is to lease containers to shipping lines that need to increase their inventory but not their assets.

4) Weights and Dimensions – In this example – 30,480 KG is the maximum weight that the container can carry including its own tare weight of 3,720 KG or 8,200 LB. This is the weight that the SOLAS VGM Certificate must show. In addition, CU. CAP. is short for cubic capacity, the volume of the container in cubic meters.

5) ISO Code – As per the International Standards Organization under their code IS06346:1995(E), each container is given a unique ISO Code in order to avoid any ambiguity in naming the container.

For example a standard 20′ container is called Dry Van (DV), General Purpose (GP), Standard (SD), Normal, Dry Container (DC) in different countries.

As these terms are all different, these terms cannot be used in uniform systems that are used for transmission of data across ports, customs, shipping lines etc. Therefore as a standard, the ISO code of 42G1 (in the example) is used to denote that the container in question is a 40′ container with a tare weight of 3,720 KG.

Punca b40 niaga mknn tpi x smpi berapa bulan dh melingkop. Jgn la kejenye asyik nk salahkan jin dan setan pastu slhkan bani melayu sbb x sapot. Meh aku listkn punca2 bisnes korang melingkop :

1. tak sedap, masak mcm x guna otak. Contohnye puak2 yg buat masakan western mcm fish and chip, carbonaro dan bolognese. Kedai western yg melingkop rata2 sbb masakan dia tahap bu****it dan bebal. Padahal kt youtube punye b*k org england dan italy duk ajar cmne nk buat versi halal. Masakan western ko g ikut ajaran chef melayu yg sesat sah2 la rasa x sedap dan mengarut. Gigih jgk follow resepi zarol klaming, bile melingkop mula lah tersengeh2.

2. Harga mahal tapi kualiti xda, cth ciken cop rm18-25 tpi size hidangan mcm nk bg minion makan pastu x sedap. Kuah manis mcm air gula.

3. Kedai masakan panas ni signature nya adalah nasi goreng, kalau nasi goreng pun gagal nk buat dgn btul apetah lg masakan lain. Kalau pelanggan tegur xyah la ajak bertumbuk. Buat nasi goreng pun mcm level minah2 kaki gelek kt tiktok buat, tabur nasi, bawang, garam pastu telor. Harga rm7. Amende masak camtu?

4. Suasana kedai nmpk suram dan menyeramkan mcm rumah bunian sbb ko suruh bini ko yg x brapa pandai g hias ntah ape2. Org nk makan kene la ade suasana best. Klu x reti hias gugel jela cth.

5. Nama kedai x meyakinkan, dh 2023 xkan letak lagi nama D Rozi, D Rafi, zam hotel? org tu nk update status makan kt mana kt ws dan fb pun tkut kene troll dgn kwn2. Buh jela nama biasa dan ikut tradisi klu x pandai sgt fkir idea. xyah acah2 modern tpi selenger bile org dengar. Tgk kedai tomyam selamber je buh nama bese2 tpi melambak je org dtg.

6. Pekerja kedai nk2 yg betina bila org dtg jenis buat muke kelat, senyum pun x. Pastu bile pelanggan minx "dik nk air suam, dik nk sambal belacan, kak nk budu extra, kak nk oder lg, cepat la kak dtg sini". ptutnye pekerja kene la senyum biarpun x ikhlas ni buat mcm org dtg minx free. Ko tgk kedai air cina yg jual kopi dan air berperise ala2 starbuck ni, kita pakai baju umno dan baju pas pun pekerja dorg sambut mcm raja.

7. Terlalu kerap sedara mara dtg smpi sparuh kedai penuh, port meja yg best pun customer xleh duduk sbb sedara mara, jiran tetangga, gf anak cop sume. Nk panggil oder pun serbe slh tkut mcm nyampuk perbualan sekeluarga. Klu camtu gaya elok la tutup kedai dan apply keje kerajaan saja. Xyah niaga, hbis keje jmpe la sedara mara puas2 sampai demam.

8. Oder x b*k tapi lembab kemain mcm oder utk kenduri kawen. Padahal kedai pun x ramai org. Pastu asyik slh hntr oder, lain yg di oder lain yg dihantar. Cth oder nasi goreng dgn air panas. Air panas dh stengah jam pun x hntr lagi, nasi goreng dh sejam x muncul2 bila tnya boleh pulak ckp "owoh bey, kito baru ingt bey, kito lupo bey, meta meta"

9. Tandas kotor mengalahkan tandas kt india, bila tandas kotor automatik pelanggan terfkir cmne la kebersihan pekerja dorg nk uruskan mknn klu tandas pun kotor mengalahkan tandas stesen bas kb.
