India which is called a land of cultures also is evident from the varied manifestations of music, especially the Indian Classical music. The music of the Indian subcontinent is usually divided into two major traditions of classical music which is the Hindustani music of North India and Karnatak music of South India. Many regions of India has their own musical traditions that are independent.

The attractiveness of a language depends on the perceived value of speaking it. Each language contains countless unique words, phrases and rules. While there are more than three hundred languages and dialects spoken in India, Hindi, the national language is spoken by over 40% of the population. Fun fact, Hindi is said to be the official language of India. Some of the other languages that are spoken are Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Urdu, Marathi, Oriya, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

The beauty of the world lies in the diversity of its people. With that being said , we would love to inform everyone that Indian Cultural Day ( ICD) will be held very soon. The programme offers all the students of University Malaysia Sabah and the residents of W.P Labuan the exposure of indian culture that will be showcased through varies activities such as games and performances. So, wait are you waiting for, do come along and join this amazing programme with a big smile.
The Indian Cultural Day will be held in accordance with the following provisions :
