Not all eyebags or under-eye shadowing are equal
Under-eye shadowing in younger patients may be the first sign of volume loss, without skin laxity or fat prolapse.

In early tear trough deformity*, shadowing may be easily addressed with HA fillers like Restylane Vital Light. With a lower g prime, lumpiness occurs less often, and shadowing may be addressed without surgery.

This patient presented to us, keen to treat shadowing under her eyelids. a single syringe of Vital Light was sufficient to markedly reduce the shadowing by increasing the volume of the tear trough and smoothening the contour of the lid cheek junction.
