My very first Kek Lapis 🥹🫶🏻

Took a nice photo to keep this moment for myself first.

Last night I sat by the oven,
layer by layer… opening and closing the oven door non-stop for almost 3 hours.

Honestly, I just wanted to learn from my mummy
and see if I could actually do it.

Mummy said I still have room to improve 🤣
But when I cut it open… and saw all the layers so nicely formed, I felt so satisfied.

Taking bite after bite, that buttery aroma, the texture of every layer… so happy, and honestly really good 🥹

With a cup of latte ☕️ on the side, it’s just perfect 😄

We’re not selling it yet, just wanted to record and share this little journey.

昨晚坐在烤炉旁边，一层一层慢慢烤，一直开关烤炉门…整整3个小时。

其实只是想跟 mummy 学，也想试试看自己能不能做到。

mummy 说我还有进步空间🤣但当我切开的那一刻，看到一层一层整齐的线条…心里真的很满足。

一口一口吃下去，那个 butter 的香味，一层层的口感…真的很好吃。

如果再配一杯 latte，真的 perfect 😄
现在还没有开始卖，只是想先把这个过程记录下来。

有些东西，从不会，到慢慢会，那个过程…真的很值得 🤍

Both are inspired by Japanese shortcake —
very soft, very light, and not too sweet (you know I cannot tahan jelak one 😆)
