今天， 11月14日是 ◤世界糖尿病日 I WORLD DIABETES DAY◢ ！

這個全球性活動是由國際糖尿病聯盟 (IDF) 和世界衛生組織 (WHO) 於 1991 年創立，並於 2006 年被指定為聯合國官方紀念日。11月14日這天會被指定為世界糖尿病日，同時也是為了紀念胰島素共同發現者Sir Frederick Banting的生日。

今年的主題是「糖尿病與職場幸福 I Diabetes and Well‑Being at Work」，最主要是聚焦於雇主和同事如何更好地支持糖尿病患者。從彈性工時到獲得健康餐食，希望微小的改變可以帶來巨大的不同。

根據調查統計，全球約有 5.9 億人患有糖尿病，且還有更多人尚未被診斷出來。

當然遠景都是美好的，但是需要如何操作就需要更完善的遊戲規則了。
畢竟不是每個老闆員工都會將心比心～

不過不管如何都好，對於每位糖尿病患者而言，他們都應該有機會過上美好生活，無論他們是在職與否，即使是日常生活也好，不應該被歧視和揶揄。

Today, November 14th, is **WORLD DIABETES DAY**!

This global observance was established by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1991, and was designated an official United Nations day in 2006. November 14th was chosen as World Diabetes Day to honor the birthday of Sir Frederick Banting, the co-discoverer of insulin.

This year's theme is **"Diabetes and Well-Being at Work,"** primarily focusing on how employers and colleagues can better support people living with diabetes. The hope is that small changes—from flexible working hours to access to healthy meals—can make a huge difference.

According to statistical surveys, an estimated **590 million people worldwide** are living with diabetes, with many more remaining undiagnosed.

Of course, the long-term vision is promising, but the practical steps require more comprehensive guidelines. After all, not every boss or employee will be empathetic.

Nevertheless, every person with diabetes should have the opportunity to live well, whether they are employed or not, or even in their daily lives, and should not face discrimination or ridicule.

🌍 ◤世界肺炎日 2025◢：為每一次呼吸而戰

肺炎依然是全球奪走成人與兒童生命最多的傳染病。
根據《 全球疾病負擔(Global Burden of Disease) 》報告，2023 年就有 250 萬人死於肺炎，其中包括 61 萬名 5 歲以下兒童。

通常，最脆弱的那一群，往往都是「最年幼」與「最年長」的！
👶 兒童中有 6 成死亡與營養不良有關，
🏚️ 生活在空氣污染、燃料污染環境中的家庭風險更高；
👵 老年人則因吸菸與空氣污染而增加患病與死亡風險。

今年2025 的年世界肺炎日主題是「兒童生存（Child Survival）」，
提醒了我們要讓孩子健康長大，就必須確保：

🥦 均衡的營養、
🌬️ 清潔的空氣、
🏥 及時診斷與治療
