Join us for our next Professional Learning event: Safeguarding Every Student: Applying the GSC School Safeguarding Framework in Diverse School Communities with Belinda Nicholson and Jonah Rosenfield.
Effective safeguarding systems must be inclusive, responsive, and designed to meet the diverse needs of all students. In this highly practical workshop, participants will explore the Global Safeguarding Collaborative's School Safeguarding Framework, a comprehensive, flexible, and user-friendly tool used by international schools worldwide to design, review, and strengthen their safeguarding systems.
Recently updated to better reflect inclusive and neuro-affirming practice, the Framework now more effectively supports schools in safeguarding neurodivergent students and other learners with diverse needs. Through guided exploration of the Framework and the accompanying Self-Assessment Tool, participants will actively assess their own school’s current practice, identify strengths and gaps, and develop clear next steps for improvement. Participants will leave with concrete strategies, practical tools, and a clear roadmap for advancing their school’s safeguarding journey.

This school year has been filled with successes and valuable learning opportunities for all of us. As leaders in student support, it's important to take a moment to celebrate our achievements and share the strategies that have brought us here.
We invite all leaders of student support to join us for our final ISLES Connect event of the year. This is not only our annual AGM, but also a great chance to learn from one another, especially since many of us are the sole representatives in our roles within our schools.
Let's come together to connect, share insights, and continue to strengthen our community and the work we do.
