Thank you for having me at the recently concluded We Share the Same Moon exhibition by 365 Malaysian artists. Supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture, each artist’s artworks were printed on postcards representing each day of 2023. Telur Pecah 2021: A Contemporary Art Exhibition

From next Friday 15th October all the way through the month of November, GMBB will be presenting Telur Pecah 2021, a contemporary art exhibition that celebrates diversity - be it in identity, in age, in style or in approach. Curated by celebrated contemporary artist Phillip Wong, Telur Pecah hopes to cultivate the culture of appreciating interpretations of fine arts through the creative minds of 50 artistic and passionate Malaysians.

It is not often we see an independent local Malaysian exhibition featuring such a high number of a diverse range of artists and artworks. From young talents and special needs artists to senior artists, from large scale artworks to delicate sculptures, every single artwork and artist comes with a story to tell. Phillip’s curation is dynamic - Telur Pecah includes senior artist Sharifah Zuriah Aljeffri, fashion designer Eric Choong, politician-turned-artist Datuk Kamil Shafie, along with a host of children artists and students from the Malaysia Institute of Art, amongst others.

Telur Pecah gave its artists a simple brief - the freedom to express their interpretation of Malaysia via their art. Open to the vaccinated public via pre-booking, Telur Pecah is another promising independent effort to do in bridging the gap in local art appreciation. I will be exhibiting 4 pieces of my art which will be for sale. Hope to see you there!
