Legal (Solicitor's Fees)

Did you know that the amount a lawyer (solicitor) can charge you is regulated?
Where exactly is the legislation for this?

It is called the 'Solicitors' Remuneration Order 2005'.

P.s.: In case you missed it, "a solicitor may give a discount of up to 25% on fees specified in the First
Schedules (ie; Sale and Transfer). So next time you can that quotation from your preferred legal firm, try asking for this. 😁

Can you get more discount than this? Apparently there are firms that do provide more, but advice not to do so.
