TRANS PRIDE CARDIFF 2025! 🏳️‍⚧️

Here’s the final rundown of everything we’ve got going on this weekend!

We’re hoping to show Cardiff that we’re here - and we’re not going away!

So show up, to take up space and experience solidarity and visibility with your community.

Day 1 (Friday 22nd)
Community Banner and Sign Making
2pm until 6pm at Stone Circle in Bute Park
Bring cardboard and art supplies!
(Family friendly)

Day 2 (Saturday 23rd)
MARCH DAY!!
Assemble at 12pm at Q***r Emporium, set off at 1:15pm
Access point from Nye Bevan Statue, Queen Street
Ends at 2pm National Museum, Gorsedd Gardens

Day 3 (Sunday 24th)
Trans Pride Cardiff’s Afterparty
Cathays Community Centre, Main Hall
Doors at 6:15pm. 9:30pm Finish
Open Mic + DJ set from RAVEN

Important info 🚨
Please have masks to hand for the safety of everyone, especially our immunocompromised and disabled community members. There will be a limited supply available at all events.

Avoid travelling alone, particularly on March day.

The theme is to TAKE UP SPACE! Express your transness and who you are loudly and proudly (think flags, traditional wear, trans pride colours)

We will be heading to Alexandria Gardens after the march to decompress, you’re welcome to join!

Committee members in pink hi-vis, and volunteers/stewards in yellow hi-vis will be on hand at all events. If you need anything, please reach out!

South Wales Police may be present; you are not required to engage with them. A ‘Know Your Rights’ infographic will be posted, and announced at the start + access point of the march. Please speak to a steward if you need support.

Join us at the Stone Circle in Bute Park on Friday 22nd August for an afternoon of sign and banner making from 14:00-18:00!

Bring your own cardboard, art supplies and maybe a picnic!

We’ll be making a Trans Pride Cardiff banner together, and we’d love for you to join in with your own. We have very limited supplies, so we recommend bringing your own as well.

Let’s be visible, take up space, and get ready to march together on Saturday 23rd.

You’ll find us near the Stone Circle, just down from Brodies on the Wall (previously Pettigrew’s)! An approximate location is what3words.com/body.bless.quite - but we will aim to update via our Instagram stories on the day.

Volunteers and march stewards needed for 2025’s Trans Pride Cardiff!

These roles are ideal for folks looking to gain experience in community organising or event organising.

Requirements:
👉🏽You have to be 16 or over
👉🏽You are available for at least one pre-event meeting early-middle August 2025.
👉🏽You are available for at least part of the event between the 22nd to 24th of August 2025.

Please note that allies are welcome to apply to volunteer, but priority will be given to trans, intersex and nonbinary people for allocated roles. Cis allies are especially encouraged to apply as march stewards.

Trans Pride Cardiff is looking for trans, intersex or nonbinary people with experience in community organising/event organising to join the committee this year! 🏳‍⚧ ✊🏽

We’re recruiting for Social Media and Fundraising roles, but you’re welcome to express if you have experience in any other areas as well!

Requirements:
👉🏽You have to be 18 or over
👉🏽You are able to attend committee meetings every two weeks, and more regularly the closer we get to the event
👉🏽You are available for at least part of the event between the 22nd to 24th of August 2025.

👀 There’ll be loads of ways to get involved in our 3 day event - keep your eyes on our socials for announcements!

Trans day of visibility will have a potluck Iftaar! Please bring food to share, especially for our siblings who will be fasting. Fill the form in our bio to let us know what you're bringing so we can fill any gaps ahead of time. Remember to label allergens on anything you bring.

Please aim to get to Cathays Community Center ON TIME to respect our schedule, the performers and the panelists. Punctual arrival will be crucial to break for Iftaar smoothly.

Cardiff Trans Pride's Trans Day of Visibility will be on Saturday the 29th of March from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cathays Community Center's Bingo Hall. The theme is BLOOM!
