Throwback: BBQ Event with Management and Council Members

Last Saturday night, we had an amazing BBQ event with the Management and Council Members! It was a great evening filled with delicious food, laughter, and community bonding. Thank you to everyone who joined and made the event a success!

Saving energy at home is not only beneficial for the environment but also helps reduce your utility bills. Here are some practical tips for conserving energy in your household:

1. Heating and Cooling
* Set your thermostat to a comfortable but energy-efficient temperature.
* Ceiling fans can help circulate air, making your heating and cooling systems more efficient.

2. Lighting
* LED bulbs use up to 75% less energy than incandescent bulbs and last much longer.
* Open curtains and blinds during the day to let in natural light, reducing the need for artificial lighting.
* Make it a habit to turn off lights when you leave a room.

3. Appliances
* Invest in energy-efficient appliances that have the ENERGY STAR label.
* Unplug electronics and chargers when they're not in use to prevent "phantom" energy use.

4. Water Heating
Lower Water Heater Temperature: Set your water heater to 120°F (49°C) to save energy and prevent scalding.
Use Less Hot Water: Take shorter showers and use low-flow showerheads and faucets to reduce hot water usage.

5. Cooking
* Use a microwave, toaster oven, or slow cooker instead of a conventional oven when possible.
* Cover pots and pans while cooking to retain heat and cook food faster.
* Use the right-sized burner for your pots to avoid wasting energy.
