[Project Update]

Boundary Noise Monitoring for Jujutsu Industries Sdn. Bhd.

On 15-17th May 2024, ACTS team member consists of Mr. Izwan Riza, Ms. Siti Mahirah and Ms. Nurhanisah, conducted a Boundary Noise Monitoring for Jujutsu Industries Sdn. Bhd located at Arab Malaysian Industrial Park, Nilai.

The monitoring commenced with a meeting with their representative, Mr. Rafi, followed by a site visit to identify monitoring points within the premises. Four points, positioned near the noise source, were designated for action on the following day.

On 16th May, Sound Level Meter used to record the data was installed at the marked points. The reading was taken starting from 7.00 A.M. until the following day for 24 hours. The aim is to measure and record the sound levels of the noise sources then assess it based on receiving land use given in the Schedules of Permissible Sound Levels.

The sound level meters were positioned at heights ranging from 1.5m to 4m above ground level, ensuring accessibility to all concerned parties. On the 17th of May, the equipment was demobilized for data extraction and report preparation.
