Mr. Wei Chen Tan, General Manager of Planning and Optimisation at PRefChem, holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) from the University of Malaya. He has extensive experience in refining, production management, supply chain optimization, process safety, asset reliability, and production integrity.

This session will dive into the development of Organic Small-Molecule Fluorescent Sensors—a vital tool for detecting metal ions in environmental water. Prof. Wang will share her team's systematic research on four distinct fluorescent sensing systems, including AC-AS-F and porphyrin-based sensors, exploring their synthesis, optical properties, and sensing mechanisms.
