Housing Ministry Blacklists 109 Developers for Non-Compliance

Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming has announced that 109 developers and their directors have been blacklisted by the ministry for various regulatory offences. This move prevents them from forming new entities or obtaining new licences until they settle existing compounds and comply with regulations.

The list of blacklisted developers will be made publicly available on the ministry’s website to help homebuyers verify developers before committing to purchases.

Most offences involve failure to submit mandatory reports, with over RM9 million in fines issued in 2024 and RM1.25 million in the first two months of 2025 alone.

Nga emphasized that ongoing projects by these developers will be their last for now, as the ministry takes firm action to protect homebuyers from unscrupulous practices. He urged all buyers to check licensing status at teduh.kpkt.gov.my and assured that the government remains committed to upholding a fair, transparent, and regulated housing market.
