There’s no strength without a better mobility and stability.
When it comes to squat, hinge, and to execute our gait cycle (locomotive pattern), It is important we look at the mobility that is necessary at the midfoot.

🦶🏽Foot can pronate and supinate is the outcome of movement at the forefoot, midfoot and heel. All the associated movements of the joints above the foot (ankle, tibia, femur and pelvis) should be capable of going through their complete range of motion when necessary, as well.

Bottom line : Your squat quality depends on your entire mobility from your pelvis to your foot.
