Coronation Ball & Banquet
The Straits Chinese and friends were invited to a Coronation soiree at Georgetown Mansion to join England’s celebration crowning of their King in this millennium.
Ladies were resplendent in ballgowns and tiaras while the gentlemen were in black tie and suits. The Coronation Ball was held at the grandly restored colonial Georgetown Mansion.
After an early dinner and just before desserts, we watched the coronation on BBC live, and proceed to cut the ‘coronation’ cakes. And we danced on ….
