Spotted these at the store and immediately got curious.

They're called garlic scapes — the curly flower stalks of garlic plants. They smell garlicky, look a little strange, and apparently people love cooking with them.

Naturally, I had to find out for myself.

I've seen people swear by these things for years, but this was actually my first time using one.

Safe to say I understand the hype now. Less oil, less mess, and somehow still gets that satisfying crisp.

This was supposed to be a bowl of curry soup noodles. Instead, I turned it into a dry-style curry noodle dish and let every strand soak up all that flavour.

Simple, quick, and dangerously addictive.
