MMU Reaches New High in QS World University Rankings 2027

Multimedia University (MMU) has advanced to the 771-780 band in the QS World University Rankings 2027, improving from the 851–900 band previously.

Released by QS on 18 June 2026, the rankings evaluated 8,808 universities worldwide. The latest improvement represents MMU’s highest position in the QS World University Rankings in recent years and reflects the positive trajectory built through MMU PLUS U (2021–2025).

The improved standing reflects MMU’s further advancement across the QS evaluation lenses, namely research and discovery, employability and outcomes, global engagement, learning experience, and sustainability. Continued gains have been particularly in research visibility, industry relevance, and international collaboration, reinforcing MMU’s position within the global higher education landscape.

This achievement also marks an encouraging start to the University’s MORE MMU (2026–2030) strategy, which positions MMU as an institution that is meaningful to society, orientation towards customer satisfaction and service quality, research-led industry-driven entity, and entrepreneurial-cultured and sustainable entity.

MMU’s progress continues to be driven by close collaboration with industry partners and global research networks. These efforts have further reinforced innovation, knowledge creation, and the development of future-ready Permata Dunia graduates in an increasingly AI-driven and digital environment.

This milestone reflects the collective contribution and dedication of MMU’s students, staff, alumni, industry and research partners, as well as its parent company, Telekom Malaysia (TM).
