What if better seed could transform an entire farming system?

That's exactly what's happening in Bangladesh with G3 rohu, a selectively bred carp strain developed by WorldFish that grows over 30% faster than conventional varieties and boosts net margins for smallholder farmers by nearly 25%.

Farmer Amit Joarder put it simply, "I can either harvest earlier or grow them for the same time and get bigger, more valuable fish. Either way, I earn more."

Over 300,000 farmers across Bangladesh have now adopted G3 rohu since its release in 2020.

And this is just the beginning with improved strains of catla and silver carp in the pipeline.
