The world just lost a sweet, kind, funny, positive and beautiful soul. After hearing yesterday that Philipp Jung .forever.jung had departed, like most who knew him, I was in shock. The numbness and disbelief that instantly arrives when we lose those we love somehow connects us to others who loved him too. I spoke to other mutual friends and artists who also knew Philipp and I was reminded once more of the importance of staying connected. Of speaking more often because you might not get that opportunity again. Philipp brought people together with his music, kind heart and passion and managed to do that yesterday once more in the saddest of circumstances.

I’ve known Philipp since 2003. From day one he brought nothing but light and laughter into my life. Your world brightened up the moment you connected with him. If you hadn’t seen each other for a while it felt like a single second. Every text he wrote ended up with the same lovely word..”besos” and that was him. Love, love, love with kisses.

I was lucky to have called him my friend and hearing he was going to be a father made me so happy for him. He deserved all the love he had and the next adventure he was about to embark on like no one else.

Philipp will stay in so many people’s hearts and minds and after the pain of losing him all of us will only remember quite how special a human he was.

My deepest condolences go out to those closest to him. He was living his best life with his partner Valentina and the fact he was becoming a father this year. A gofundme page has been set up to support them and I’d like to share the link in my bio.
