I flew to CDMX to complete certification under at and I want to be honest about what that actually looked like.
Pilates coach. Jazz background. Taken barre before. I walked in thinking my fitness background had me covered. I was humbled within the first twelve minutes.

Two days, noon to 8pm. Altitude at 2,200 meters above sea level, nose blocked from the pollution, and a body that filed a formal complaint. We still opened day two with a full class. My face during the bicep curls said everything. WHO APPROVED SO MANY REPS.
What I didn’t expect was the room. Twenty people shaking together, laughing between sets, choosing to show up on day two anyway. Irma held the space with so much knowledge and passion that even on the hardest moments you knew exactly why you were there.
I’ve been dancing salsa my whole life and this method speaks that same language. The musicality, the rhythm, every rep on a beat. Now I get to share it with others.
