I used to daydream about this—writing thank-you speeches, winning awards, going on tour, making music videos. I spent years coming up with album titles, envisioning tracklists, and perfecting songs, only to keep them locked away. I was always my biggest roadblock.

Instead of releasing my own music, I poured my time and talent into building other artists—writing, producing, and helping launch careers. Some of the biggest names in the world have my fingerprints on their music and careers, even if they never acknowledged it. One artist “forgot”, another made sure I knew my impact—bringing me on tour, inviting me to shows. Meanwhile, I sat back, watching everyone around me blow up while my own music collected dust.

Then in March 2024, I finally said f**k it. The Misconception was born—an album that represents all the assumptions people made about me, the boxes they tried to put me in, and the sounds they told me I should stick to. I spent years writing in different genres, falling in love with music in all its forms. So why release just one style? And the craziest part? A reggae-pop track, 2nd Place, became the most-streamed song on the album.
