Young people can’t wait.

Every day, young people face barriers to accessing the Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services they need. From stigma and discrimination to limited youth-friendly services, these challenges continue to affect their health, well-being, and future opportunities.

It's time to move beyond promises and take action. We need greater investment in youth-friendly spaces, better-trained service providers, and inclusive SRH services that are accessible to all young people.

A healthy, informed, and empowered generation starts with the decisions we make today.

Because delayed action means a delayed future.

Today we join the rest of Africa in commemorating the Day of the African Child 2026.

As NYADE – Native Youth Animators for Development, we stand in solidarity with children across Malawi and the continent in advocating for their rights, dignity, and wellbeing.

This year’s theme, “Ensuring access to water, sanitation and hygiene for every child in Africa,” reminds us that no child should be left behind without safe water, clean toilets, and proper hygiene.

We remain committed to promoting child rights, safe environments, and healthy communities where every child can thrive.

SRHR is about your health, your choices, your future. For young people, access to info + services = fewer teen pregnancies, lower HIV rates, and more youth finishing school. Everyone deserves to make informed decisions about their body without shame.

Know your Rights, own your Health! 💪🏾

"Know Your Rights. Own Your Health."
Information + services = power to decide your future. Youth-friendly clinics offer: free condoms, contraception counseling, HIV testing, and answers to your questions. No age should stop you from getting correct info”

Today, Native Youth Animators for Development (NYADE) joins the world in celebrating World Environment Day. We recognize that a healthy environment is essential for the well-being and future of our communities.

As we continue empowering young people and communities in Nsanje District, we call on everyone to take action against environmental degradation, promote sustainable practices, and protect our natural resources for future generations.

Together, let's build a greener, safer, and more resilient Malawi.

It is very important to protect Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) during the climate crisis, there is need for government to work with stakeholders in order to integrate gender-responsive healthcare into disaster management, ensure climate-resilient health infrastructure and increase dedicated financing to support young people, women and girls.
