2025 has been a year of resilience, hope, and transformation. At Tithandizane Female S*x Workers Organization, we believe that every child deserves the chance to learn, play, and dreamโ€”no matter where they are born or how remote their community may be. Through our sports and education project, we reached the most vulnerable children in hard-to-reach rural areas, turning challenges into opportunities and neglected spaces into centers of growth.

Renovated learning spaces: We restored dilapidated classrooms, repaired pit latrines, and renovated community and school grounds, creating safe and dignified environments for children.

Access to education: School fees and essential supplies were provided to the most vulnerable children, ensuring that poverty and distance did not stand in the way of their education.

Sports for empowerment: By revitalizing playgrounds and sports facilities, we gave children not only a place to play but also a platform to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience.

Over 6 classrooms renovated, now serving hundreds of learners.

8 pit latrines repaired, improving sanitation and dignity for students.

85 vulnerable children supported with fees, uniforms, and supplies.

3 community grounds transformed into safe spaces for sports and recreation.

This year reminded us that change is possible even in the hardest-to-reach corners of Malawi. Every renovated classroom tells a story of hope. Every child who received school supplies represents a future leader. Every playground echoes with laughter that once was silenced by neglect.

We also learned that partnerships and community ownership are key. By working hand-in-hand with local leaders, parents, and schools, we ensured that our interventions were not just projectsโ€”but lasting investments in dignity, equity, and opportunity.

We extend heartfelt thanks to our partners, donors, and community members who stood with us. Your support turned vision into reality and gave vulnerable children the gift of education and play.

++As we step into 2026, we remain committed to:

++Expanding access to education for marginalized children.

++Strengthening sports as a tool for empowerment and inclusion.

++Building sustainable, community-driven solutions that last beyond projects.

Together, we will continue to break barriers, nurture dreams, and ensure that no child is left behind.

As we close the curtain on the 2025 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, Tithandizane Female S*x Workers Organisation stands proud, reflective, and more committed than ever to advancing the rights, safety, and dignity of female s*x workers in the hard-to-reach rural communities of Chiphole, Mangochi District.

For the past sixteen days, our voices have been louder, our advocacy stronger, and our unity more visible as we joined the rest of Malawi โ€” and the world โ€” in demanding an end to gender-based violence, especially the rising threat of digital gender violence targeting marginalized women.

On 4th December, Tithandizane proudly took part in the district launch of the 16 Days of Activism at St. Augustin 3 Primary School grounds in Mangochi. This event marked a crucial platform for amplifying our message that:

Female s*x workers deserve protection both offline and online.

Digital platforms must not become spaces of violence, blackmail, or discrimination.

Rural women, especially s*x workers, must be equipped and empowered to defend themselves digitally.

Our presence demonstrated leadership, courage, and our commitment to shaping national conversations around digital safety, human rights, and equality.

We began the 16 Days of Activism with International AIDS Day on 1st December, commemorated with vital support from the Mercury Phoenix Trust.

This day reminded us that:

Access to health is a human right.

Female s*x workers continue to face heightened vulnerability to HIV due to inequality, stigma, and exclusion.

Our community must have access to accurate information, testing, treatment, and non-discriminatory health services.

Through outreach, testimonies, and dialogue, we reinforced hope and strengthened the shared journey towards an HIV-free generation.

On International Human Rights Day, we celebrated progress while acknowledging the work ahead.
The day reaffirmed:

That s*x workersโ€™ rights are human rights.

That no woman should face violence โ€” physical, verbal, economic, or digital โ€” because of her work or identity.

That inclusion, justice, and equality must guide Malawiโ€™s path forward.

We used this day to promote healing, solidarity, and empowerment across our community.

Over the 16 days, our organisation has:

Raised awareness on digital gender violence

Supported survivors

Engaged community leaders

Educated young women and s*x workers on their rights

Strengthened collaboration with other activists, service providers, and district GBV structures

Our work continues beyond these 16 days. Violence does not end today โ€” and neither does our fight.

As we conclude the 2025 16 Days of Activism, Tithandizane Female S*x Workers Organisation renews its promise to:

Promote safety and dignity for all women

Defend human rights without compromise

Advocate for digital justice

Empower rural s*x workers to rise above discrimination, violence, and exclusion

Together with our partners, supporters, and community members, we move forward with hope and determination โ€” knowing that every voice counts, every action matters, and every woman deserves freedom from violence.
