Yesterday, we successfully conducted our online orientation for our new students who will officially commence classes tomorrow, 13th July.

We thank everyone who participated and demonstrated their commitment to learning and professional growth. We are excited to be part of your academic journey and look forward to equipping you with the knowledge, skills, and practical competencies needed to build a safer and healthier Malawi. Together, we will develop a skilled workforce that embraces occupational health and safety across all industries.

To all our new students: As you begin your classes tomorrow, remain committed, participate actively, ask questions, and support one another throughout this journey. Your dedication today will shape you into the safety professionals and leaders of tomorrow.

After two weeks of learning, discussion, and practical engagement, we have successfully completed the training of five teams of Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Representatives at Illovo Nchalo. It was inspiring to see participants actively sharing experiences and strengthening their understanding of workplace safety, health, and environmental responsibility.

SHE Representatives play an important role in the workplace by helping to identify hazards, promote safe work practices, encourage employee participation in safety matters, and serve as a link between employees and management on health and safety issues. We are proud to have been part of this journey and look forward to supporting more organizations in building safer, healthier, and more productive workplaces.
